Candidates must submit the fully completed Microsoft Word version of the EPIK application form to their recruiter. The EPIK application form must also have the sample lesson plan and personal essay attached.
A personal essay abiding by EPIK’s essay template should also be submitted. The personal essay consists of three parts and should be between 200-300 words for each section and written in a size 11 Arial font. The essay must address three topics: Why you wish to teach in Korea, your teaching philosophy, and how you will deal with cultural differences/shock. EPIK requires two letters of recommendation from academic professors or previous/current employers regarding your work ethic and abilities. Scans of both letters of recommendation will be needed to apply to EPIK and the original copies will need to be sent in with your final documents after you pass your EPIK interview.
Applicants will need a passport-sized photos to submit with their EPIK application. The photo should be digitally attached to application file in the designated place as noted on the front page.
Photos must be the official passport size of 25 x 35mm and must be in front of a completely white backdrop. Personal photos such as those from Facebook or other social media sites will not be accepted.
