Shenzhen Process Timeline

Apply at Korvia.com

Applicants must fill out an online application form at www.korvia.com. If accepted, candidates will then be matched with a recruiter who will schedule an individual interview session to help decide which program/positions are best for them.

Submit Shenzhen Application & Initial Documents

Applicants complete and submit the Shenzhen application form and the initial documents required.

Shenzhen (SDE) Interview

SDE (Sea Dragon Education) will schedule an interview time to determine an official teaching program acceptance.

Submit Shenzhen Final Documents

Candidates must gather all their required documents and send scanned documents to Korvia during the specified final submission timeline. Korvia team will double checks each document and then forwards it to the SDE Shenzhen Headquarters.

Placement

SDE is your employer but the school where you will be working at. Once your documents are received, SDE will process entry permit with Chinese immigration office and make an interview arrangement for your final placement. SDE can place you in either a location that you specified as a preference or another area where you are needed.

Apply for Z-Visa at Chinese Embassy

After your placement is confirmed with SDE, they will send you the documents that you must take to the nearest Chinese consulate in your country to apply for a Z visa.

Book a One-way Flight Ticket

After securing your visa, teachers must book a one-way plane ticket to Shenzen. The ticket’s cost must be paid upfront by the native English teacher. They will later get reimbursed for the ticket’s costs.

Shenzhen Orientation in China

Teachers will fly to China and meet the Shenzhen SDE team at the airport or at the border of Shenzhen. They will then take transportation to their particular Shenzhen orientation venue.

First Day of School

Congratulations! You are now officially a Shenzhen SDE teacher! This marks the beginning of your teaching career in China!
