Downloads FAQ
Q.Do I need to download all of these if I apply through Korvia?
No. When you apply through Korvia, your recruiter sends you exactly the documents you need, in the right order, with instructions for each. The downloads on this page are reference copies — useful for self-directed applicants or those applying to GEPIK directly through EPIK.
Q.Which documents must be apostilled?
Two documents require apostille (international notarization) before submission: (1) your bachelor's degree, and (2) your National-Level Criminal Record Check (CRC). Apostille processing times vary by country — start at least 8-12 weeks before your intended start date.
Q.What is the GEPIK Pledge and why is it required?
The GEPIK Pledge is a brief written commitment to uphold GEPIK's teaching standards, follow Korean laws, respect school culture, and not engage in private tutoring outside your contract. All GEPIK teachers sign it at contract start. It is not a legal contract — it is a standards-of-conduct agreement.
Q.What counts as 'Proof of Teaching Experience' for salary leveling?
Official employment letters from previous teaching jobs, on company/school letterhead, signed and stamped. Must include: your full name, dates of employment (start + end), role title, hours taught per week, and contact info of the verifying officer. TA positions during your own degree typically do not count. Volunteer tutoring does not count.
Q.Is the 2020 Sample Contract still accurate for 2026?
The core structure is the same, but specific figures have been updated in the 2026 contract (Level 1++ at ₩2.6M is new; Entrance Allowance is now ₩1.3M). Use the 2020 sample as a general reference — your actual 2026 contract will contain current figures. Korvia provides the current contract version for final review before signing.
