The agreement between Korvia Consulting and candidates using our recruitment and placement services in South Korea.

Introduction

These Terms of Use delineate the relationship between you, the candidate, and Korvia Consulting Employment Services. By accessing this site, you are deemed to accept these Terms of Access to Korvia’s Website. Korvia may amend these Terms at any time; continued use of the Site following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Your Information and Privacy

Korvia helps qualified and experienced professionals find suitable positions within their technical disciplines. We provide career advice and work tirelessly to assist in your career progression. This service is completely free of charge to candidates. Unless otherwise stated, the positions and type of work we seek on your behalf are full-time, permanent posts, whereby the successful candidate is contracted directly to the employing organization.

Korvia appreciates the need for a discreet service for our candidates on a professional level, as well as the importance of keeping the personal information of our candidates private. We will never use your information for any purpose other than in connection with the recruitment process or other named permissions you agree to give us.

The personal data we collect from candidates is necessary to ensure the efficiency of the recruitment process. This data includes information such as your name, address, e-mail address, and career and education history, as well as your nationality and status to work in South Korea, which we are required to collect by law. Any other sensitive data is collected only so far as is necessary to ensure we meet legal requirements.

By registering with us, you consent to us collecting and processing the data and, where necessary, disclosing this information to prospective employers in connection with the recruitment process.

Submission of personal information is wholly optional. You may request removal of your information from our records at any time by contacting admin@korvia.com or writing to Henry Oh, Korvia Consulting Ltd., #2517 Hyundai Rexion, 305 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea 06628.

Applications and Recruitment Process

Once you provide your information on the application to Korvia, it will be made available to our specialist recruitment teams. Unless you request otherwise at the point of registration, your CV and other relevant information supplied by you may be sent or presented to prospective employers we deem would be of interest to you and who may be interested in your skills and experience.

If you have applied for a specific vacancy (or vacancies) through Korvia, the information you provide will be used to determine your suitability for the position and, if applicable, your CV will be presented to the client company with whom the vacancy is based.

Korvia does not guarantee placement, nor is it obliged to continue service for renewing individuals. Placement is based on availability, qualifications, school preferences, and the performance history of an individual. If no position is able to be secured for an individual at the current time, Korvia will keep the applicant on file for possible future positions that may become available.

Our Responsibilities and Limitations

While Korvia shall endeavor to provide a reasonable amount of support and assistance to you if you are employed as a result of Korvia’s placement and recruiting services, any Teaching Contract shall be solely between you and the Contracting organization. Korvia is not responsible or liable for breach of a Teaching Contract by either party or for any situation — including school closure or bankruptcy of the Contracting organization — that results in a Teaching Contract not being fulfilled.

If you are terminated for any reason by a Contracting organization, it is not Korvia’s responsibility to rectify the situation or to find you alternative or interim employment.

Korvia is not and shall not be responsible or liable for your transportation, accommodations, or other services or products to be provided by the Contracting organization or any other third party in connection with the Activity, and Korvia is not and shall not be liable for any other acts or omissions of such third parties.

On occasion, your details may be presented to client companies outside of South Korea. This could happen, for example, if you apply for a vacancy where the employer is based outside the EEA. By registering and using our Site, you consent to this transfer.

Prohibited or Unlawful Action

You may not use our Site in any manner that could be in any way damaging to our Site. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Site, another person’s account, or to any information, computer systems, or networks connected to our Site, whether through hacking, password mining, or any other means.

You shall comply with all applicable laws of any jurisdiction in which you may travel, including drug laws, while participating in the Activity. If your participation in the Activity is at any time deemed detrimental to the Contracting organization — as determined in the sole discretion of Korvia or the Contracting organization — you may be terminated by the Contracting organization without Korvia incurring any liability.

You may incur liability to Korvia under this Agreement if you engage in illegal acts abroad, break an employment contract with a Contracting organization, or enter into a Teaching Contract in bad faith.

Release of Liability

You fully and forever INDEMNIFY, RELEASE, WAIVE AND DISCHARGE, and COVENANT NOT TO SUE, Korvia, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, sponsors, successors, and assigns, from and for any and all demands, claims, actions, suits, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including, but not limited to, court costs and attorneys’ fees), from any cause whatsoever (including, but not limited to, travel delays, property damage and loss, bodily injuries, sickness, disease, and death), whether directly or indirectly arising in connection with your participation in the Korvia recruiting and placement process and the Activity, whether or not foreseeable or contributed to by the negligent acts or omissions of Korvia or others.

Acceptance of Terms

By opting to use Korvia Consulting services, the candidate assumes complete responsibility for all aspects associated with the venture. The candidate agrees to fully and perpetually waive, discharge, and agree not to sue Korvia Consulting (or its employees and representatives) for any losses, liabilities, claims, actions, suits, damages, demands, costs, and expenses from any cause arising from their direct or indirect involvement with the venture.

I, the candidate, understand the content of this agreement. This agreement shall be enforced and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the City of Seoul, South Korea.
