Quick Answer

Do you need TEFL certification to teach English in Korea?

It depends on the job. EPIK generally requires applicants without an education-focused degree or recognised teaching licence to have a 100-hour-plus TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate. Private employers can set different rules. TEFL is not a universal E-2 visa requirement, and buying a course does not guarantee a job or visa.

Which TEFL class fits your plan?

Hours are easy to compare. The more important differences are the practice component, the completion documents, and whether your target program will accept the exact course.

TEFL certification FAQ

How many TEFL hours does EPIK require?

EPIK's published eligibility threshold is a TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate of at least 100 hours for applicants who do not qualify through an education-focused degree or recognised teaching licence. A 120-hour course exceeds that hour threshold, but placement-specific requirements can apply.

Does buying this course guarantee EPIK acceptance or a job?

No. A course purchase does not guarantee document acceptance, interview success, placement, visa issuance or employment. EPIK, the relevant Office of Education, immigration authorities and employers make their own decisions under the rules that apply to your case.

Can I enrol without a bachelor's degree?

Yes, the course itself does not list a degree as an enrolment requirement. That does not change the degree and nationality rules that may apply to teaching jobs or Korean visas. Check your target role before enrolling for employment purposes.

How long does the course take?

The course is self-paced. Korvia's current course information says many learners complete the 120-hour option in about two to three months, but actual completion time depends on the learner and the selected option.

When is course access issued?

Korvia's current fulfilment term is within 24 working hours after payment confirmation. Working hours are Monday through Friday in Korea Standard Time, excluding Korean public holidays.

Is the course fee refundable?

No. The current checkout terms state that the course fee is non-refundable. Review the course option, eligibility considerations and terms before paying.

Does the price include a certificate?

The listed price includes a digital certificate. The current checkout information lists a physical certificate as an optional USD 35 add-on.

Pricing & access

LCTT charges the prices in USD. They include course materials and a digital certificate; a physical certificate is currently a USD 35 add-on. Course access is issued within 24 working hours after confirmed payment.

Refunds & outcomes

The course fee is non-refundable. Enrolment does not guarantee course completion, document acceptance, a job, placement, salary level, or visa.

Confirm first. Enrol second.

If your target program confirms the course fits, compare the three options and choose the practice level that matches your preparation needs.
