Q1.What should I prepare for my interview with a Korvia Recruiter?

Recruiters will check your basic information as well as what your strengths are as a teacher so that they can present you to employers for the initial interview.
So we recommend that applicants prepare for how they can present themselves to a school.

Q2.Once we interview, how long does it typically take to find out if we have been offered a position? And thank you both for all your help.

you may know your interview result within 1~3 days. But You still have to go through final document stage to actually get an offer position. Placement result will start coming out after June for Fall semester and January for spring semester. Depends on how early you've submitted your final document, the term will be different.

Q3.Is there any teaching demonstration in the interview?

No. they are not going to ask demonstrate your teaching, but it will be important you understand fully what you have write on your lesson plan and can explain the idea of how to teach

Q6.What if I have a facial piercing?

It may be requested to get rid off. we also suggest not to wear nose piercing during an EPIK interview.

Q8.Any advice for non-married couples on how to help them have a greater chance of being placed in the same area?

Non-married couples can still be a joint applicants and ask for the similar placement.

If both applicants' qualification and interview result are similar, they will still consider placement at the same city.


Q9.Would it be appropriate to wear headphones during the interview or would that be frowned upon?

No not at all! Headphones might even help to make you sound clearer too

Q11.Will they ask questions about why we chose a specific placement or discuss other placements we may be interested in during the interview?

the interviewers do not have control of your placement, however, they can tell you some cities are fully filled and no longer available and such things.

Unfortunately, yet EPIK has informed us regarding the interview method change. It is true many EPIK interviews are "one way" without being able to see the EPIK representative.

Q13.I already completed my degree about a year ago. I recently went back to school to take classes to learn about teaching and child development specially to prepare myself for South Korea. Do I need to send transcripts and/or mention this during the interview?

You may mention it at the interview, but EPIK only requires BA and MA transcripts :)
