Overview
BEK (British Education Korea) delivers the British National Curriculum from Nursery through Year 2, with Cambridge Primary/Secondary pathways and IGCSE/A-Levels at secondary. Mandarin is a core language from Nursery. Early Years are play-based; older students follow an inquiry-based framework. BEK operates five campuses across Korea and partners with City of London Freemen's School.

British National Curriculum + Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level + Mandarin from Nursery (est. 2010)
BEK (British Education Korea, est. 2010) is a fully accredited Cambridge International School delivering the England National Curriculum from 18 months through A-Level. Mandatory Mandarin from Nursery onward makes BEK unique among British schools in Korea. 2024 IGCSE results: 73% of grades were A*s. Five campuses offer bilingual streams (Lodge, Bundang, Dongtan) alongside the mainstream British pathway. Inquiry-based learning develops independence, curiosity, and cross-curricular thinking.
Unit plans follow UK National Curriculum frameworks with inquiry-based tasks. Cambridge Primary milestones guide assessment design. Expect 4–5 hrs/week for planning, marking, and parent communication. Professional background in English, Science, or Humanities typical.
