Q1.Do you have an idea of date to when the Korvia or EPIK orientations will be happening?

It will be around mid-August for Fall and mid-February for spring term!

Q2.Does Korvia offer the same support if you go through a Private school placement?

- Yes, we do provide similar support (can be more individual support) for the private school placement but there is no such pre-orientation or etc though.


Q3.How long is my contract?

Your initial contract is 12 months. Most teachers choose to renew their contracts after the first year.

Q4.How long does training take?

The formal training period is during the first week – by no later than the end of 2-3 weeks you will be on a full teaching schedule. To assist you during your first couple of weeks, you will begin by observing other teachers during many of their classes.

Q5.I also wanted to know if it's possible to join the shuttle service to the EPIK orientation (even if at an extra cost)? Or is this only available as part of the full package?

Seats will be assigned to the person who purchased the package and it might cost 50USD for shuttle bus seat separately.

Q6.I am little confused if we need to purchase a flight ticket. Does Korvia pre-orientation package covered flights tickets?

pre-OT package covered Hotel, SIM card, and Shuttle bus from hotel to EPIK Orientation vanue.

Q7.Korvia website mentions flights in the package but there are no flight information. Is this just help with booking the flight? What were we do with flights?

flight tickets are not included in the pre-orientation package. It's a separate deal for helping with flight booking through a tour company.

Q8.I already purchased the Korvia Pre-Orientation Package. So, do I still need to pay a fee for the Shuttle Bus to the EPIK Orientation Venue? Or is the Shuttle Bus ride already included in the Package?

In the Package, we also include SIM card, hotel and shuttle bus. And the bus is from T-mark grand hotel to EPIK orientation venue.

Q9.For pre-orientation what is the difference between enrollment and registration? Do we have to sign up for both?

If you have bought a Pre-orientation package, you don't have to fill out the registration form. Registration form is for the person who does not want to buy the package but wants to participate Pre-orientation.

Q10.I have already signed up and paid for the pre-orientation. However, I just want to double check that direct applicants (as in myself) are allowed to participate.

Yes, you can participate pre-orientation however you have to tell EPIK that you will visit orientation venue by yourself and not checking in at incheon airport for shuttle bus.

Q11.I have signed up for the pre-orientation and was wondering if I need to order the prepaid sim before arrival?

You need to purchase SIM card if you have not purchased Pre-orientation package.

Q12.I also wondered whether it's possible to show up just for a day (to get help with the bank and phone set up) or if it's necessary to stay in the hotel and use Korvia transport?

We are very welcome to only sign up for Pre-orientation rather than a package. Pre-orientation will be free of charge, but you have to pay additionally for a mobile sim card.

Q13.My flight arrives in Korea earlier then Pre-orientation, am I able to add another night to my current hotel booking?

We suggest you stay at Incheon airport hotel for arrival date upon your arrival then you can come to T-mark hotel on the following day because our package is a group booking system, so we cannot comply with a personal request.
