General Information
  1. Long-term residency visa which does not rely on the employment sponsorship.
  2. Does not have a legal work limitation which is given for E2 visa in terms of place of work and subject of teaching.
  3. Can establishing your own business without the minimum requirement of how much you supposed to invest.
  4. Eligible to apply for a permanent residency visa (F-5) after 3 years of having an F-2-7 visa.

Eligibility

  1. have an Eligible Visa Status (E-2 visa is an eligible visa)
  2. have lived in Korea for more than one year (have been hold an E-2 visa for more than one year)
  3. reach at least 80 points out of 125 points

Point Chart

  1. Age: 25 points Max (the best age group is between 30 ~ 34)
  2. Level of Education: 35 points Max (Ph.D in Science or Engineering or 2 degrees for Arts Major is best)
  3. Korean language ability: 20 points Max (Grade 6 is the best)
  4. Annual income: 10 points Max (more than 100 M KRW is the best)
  5. Additional points: 35 points Max (KIIP, Annual Income Tax payment record, Study experience in Korea, Volunteer experience in Korea, Professional experience abroad)
  6. Minus points: -5 points (Disposal of Penalties of yourself, Disposal of penalties of your family or invitees, illegal stay)
  7. Total 125 Points
