Curriculum Style

RISE Korea delivers a play-based American curriculum validated by Harvard Graduate School of Education researchers (Nanie K. Lesaux, Emily Philips Galloway, Armida Lixarraga). Three pillars: Immersive Education (culture-connected, not isolated study), Thought-Provoking Questions (diverse perspectives), and Authentic American Curriculum using Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) materials. Students are tracked via TOEFL Primary and STAR Reading assessments.

Lesson Prep

HMH curriculum and unit plans provided. Teachers personalise activity stations, thematic extensions, and circle-time materials (~2–3 hrs/week). Student progress tracked against TOEFL Primary benchmarks.

Typical Day

Morning kindergarten immersion (9 AM–1 PM): phonics, circle time, thematic play, STEM. Afternoon Foundation and Exploration groups through 6 PM. Salary ₩2.2–2.4M, furnished housing, 10–15 paid vacation days (increasing with re-sign), flight reimbursement.
