This is a full-time secondary teaching position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 50-minute lunch break each day. You’ll teach three to five 50-minute classes daily, totaling 20 weekly teaching hours within a 22-hour schedule. Class sizes can reach up to 30 students. The school offers a monthly salary starting at ₩2,300,000 (depending on credentials), plus: Flexible single-studio accommodation support worth ₩400,000 per month Flight allowance for travel expenses 26 paid vacation days (weekends excluded) and 11 sick leave days per year Health insurance, national pension, settlement allowance, severance pay, contract-renewal bonus, and rural allowance Opportunity to earn ₩40,000 per after-school class Teaching responsibilities include developing lesson plans, managing the classroom, and administering and scoring performance tests. Communicative English in a private language institute
Private English academies (hagwons) in Korea deliver communicative language teaching in English-only or English-immersive classrooms. Classes run across multiple age groups with curriculum books provided by the school.
