Teaching at Busan Global Village Head
Co-teaching in a Korean public school (EPIK model)
Public school teachers work alongside Korean English teachers in a co-teaching model. Lessons use government-approved textbooks but native teachers design supplementary communicative activities to extend the curriculum.
Lesson plans are submitted 1 week ahead. Expect to create 2–3 original activities or presentations per week. Most schools provide a shared prep room with printing access.
Typically 20–22 classes/week (40-min periods). Lunch with students in the cafeteria. Free periods used for lesson preparation, class evaluation forms, and English club activities.
