Essay, debate & CNN news — Korea's premier academic writing hagwon (20+ years)
DUX Academy (est. Daechi-dong, 20+ years) specialises in advanced English through the proprietary Read→Listen→Speak→Write cycle, which accelerates acquisition 3×. Students tackle Five-Paragraph Essay, Summary Essay, theme-based analysis, CNN news discussions, and novel reading. Class time is teacher-led debate and oral presentation; initial drafts and reading happen at home. DUX runs 40+ class levels from elementary to advanced — the preferred destination for Korea's highest-achieving English students.
Teachers prepare debate topics, CNN discussion guides, and essay feedback rubrics. Novel selections assigned weekly; marking 2–4 hrs/week. Strong written feedback is the method's core differentiator.
After-school: elementary writing groups 2:30–5 PM, secondary debate & essay workshops 5–9 PM. Saturday morning sessions common at Daechi flagship. 10+ campuses across Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Busan. Salary ~₩3M for experienced teachers.
