For the first time in Korvia Consulting’s 10-year history, we are proud to announce that we will be working with the TaLK Program (Teach and Learn in Korea) to help place teachers for the 2016 term. The program aims to let students take a break from college to learn firsthand about Korean culture while getting valuable experience in the classroom teaching English.

After much debate as to whether this program would continue after it’s previous 15th term in 2015, the program announced in January that it would indeed continue and would start accepting applications immediately. The 2016 term will vary slightly from previous years, with there being two intakes as well as different contract lengths and orientation lengths.

April 2016 Intake (10 Months)
– Contract Length: April 1st, 2016 to January 31st, 2017
– Arrival Date: March 23rd
– There are NO options for a 4 or 6 month contract length for those seeking the April Intake.
– Can Apply through Korvia

August 2016 Intake (6 Months)
– Contract Length: August 1st, 2016 to January 31st, 2017
– Arrival Date: TBA (estimated late July/early August)
– Must apply directly

The TaLK Program is the sister program of EPIK but has some very big key differences from EPIK, the biggest being that candidates do not need to possess a Bachelor’s degree or be TEFL certified in order to apply. Teachers also generally teach lower hours (15 hours a week) and get to participate in regular “field-trip” excursions around South Korea to both learn and experience different aspects Korean culture.

Key Benefits of the Program:
– 1.5M KRW Salary per month
