If you are thinking about working as a Native English Language Teacher in Korea, I highly recommend applying through KorVia recruiting. Navigating the path from application to placement can be a challenge. There are so many documents to complete, obtain and get notarized. My recruiting officer was Sasha. She helped lead me every step of the way and patiently answered my many questions in a timely manner. She even helped me prepare for the EPIK interview! Also, Sasha went out of her way to ensure I received a placement in a city of my choice. Initially, my first three choice cities were full, but when one applicant withdrew, Sasha made sure I got my preferred placement. The night before I left for Korea, Sasha contacted me through skype to ask how I was doing and to share in my excitement and nervousness. One more thing –upon my arrival, KorVia issued me a free temporary cell phone which was a huge help for me to get together with new friends and to contact my co-teacher if I needed help. Usually, one cannot get a cell phone or internet until an Alien Registration Card is issued – which can take weeks.
I highly recommend having a knowledgeable and caring recruiter like Sasha to give you expert advice and guidance along the way. Try KorVia, you have everything to gain… and nothing to lose!
