Korvia Recruiting has been the way to go! I heard good things about the agency on Dave's ESL Cafe, and so when it was time for me to find a new teaching job in Korea, I filled out an application from the Korvia website and was contacted within a day or two!
Korvia provided me with a wonderful agent, Juno Suh, who helped me quickly secure a good job in the area in which I wanted to teach. Juno has been so positive and helpful, and- did I say positive?- throughout the entire job search, interview, and Visa process. Sometimes waiting on paperwork to teach overseas can be frustrating, but a good agent can get you through the process with very little stress.
I have only been working at my new job for a week, but everything seems to be just fine. I work in a public school, and I have a very helpful handler teacher who speaks English well, and who acts as an intermediary between myself and the other staff. I feel, though, that if there was any reasonable issue that I could not work out with my school, that I would be able to turn to Juno at Korvia for advice and assistance.
In conclusion, I would like to say that you should not be afraid to try teaching in Korea. You will have to work hard and be a serious teacher, but you will have a lot of fun. If you're up for the adventure, visit the Korvia website, and they will help find a good job for you-- one that will ensure that your interests are looked after, and your rights respected.
Hope to see you in Korea!
