Q: What is vulnerable sector search for my Criminal Background check?
A: You must be a Canadian and Canandian Citizen used to apply Criminal background check including "vulnerable sector search" but since 15 July 2009, Korean immigration office announced that Canadian doesn't have to submit Criminal Background check with vulnerable sector search included. REMINDER: Local Police Clearance is not acceptable for E2 Visa application so you must apply State police level Criminal background check or above otherwise you waste your valuable money and time by submitting local police clearance. You need to obtain Criminal background check then visit Korean consulate for notarization (Canadian Only - Other US and Other countries must obtain Apostille stamp on your CRC). Here is step of how to obtain Criminal record check for E2 visa application (Public school job application) 1. Visit State police Deparment. 2. Fill in the application form 3. Obtain State police criminal background check (it may takes between 2~4weeks) 4. Bring your CRC to Korean consulate or Embassy in Canada 5. Notarize your document and send it to Korvia Consulting (recruiter) *NOTE: Criminal record check only valid for 6 month after issuance day so you can't use old criminal background check in case you will apply new E2 visa at Korean immigration office.
