Korvia is excited to welcome you and all of our other EPIK recruits to Korea! EPIK has announced that for the Spring 2019 intake there will be different arrival days. Your placement location will dictate which team you a part of.

TEAM 1 – Tuesday, February 19th, 2019
Teachers Placed In: Busan, Daejeon, Gangwon, Gwangju, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Incheon, Jeju, Jeonbuk, Ulsan
Arrival Airport: Incheon International Airport (ICN)
Registration: The registration will take place on the first arrival floor of the terminal 1 at Desks #72, 73. Please proceed there directly after retrieving your luggage.

TEAM 2 – Wednesday, February 20th, 2019

Orientation Venue: Depending on the arrival date and final placement, the orientation venue is subject to change. Will be notified individually.
While EPIK officially stipulates that teachers will need to arrive at the specified time, we strongly recommend teachers to not book flights that arrive on the day. By arriving late, major problems might ensue. If there are no flights that arrive earlier than the agreed time, we recommend booking a flight that arrives a day before in order to make sure you will be able to be on the bus that leaves for the final destination.
Also please do not book your flight until your visa has officially been processed and is on the way to you.

Is there a news letter about documents to bring?

I got into the Fall 2018 team. I was wondering if booking a ticket earlier to spend some time in Korea before the Epik orientation meet up starts (from airport) is applicable? e.g. if the airport pickup was on the 15th August, instead of booking a ticket for then, applying for one in July and then just meeting up with the others on the 15th at the assigned airport. I hope you understood what I was trying to get at. I have family in Korea whom I’d like to meet first so I was wondering if this is allowed. Thank you!
